At some point in the future, i need to redo my wheels (bloody curb scuffs), but i cant decide the colour of the wheels. some friends think silver, ive always liked black on amazons, but i'm not sure with these alloys and paint colour...
So i decided to take it to the home of car advice: Any thoughts?

What about gunmetal or "black chrome"? That would be both black and silver at the same time

For a car like that on that style wheel I would say you have two options. Silver or gold.

Leave the outer edge silver, and go for the gold.

Ditch the allows and get some body color steelies with chrome hubcaps.

I had those before: they photograph well but are so skinny compared to my current ones, which grip the road 10 times better. also they didn't have a spare, could have done with a restoration, and repaint whereas these alloys are relatively good and had a spare for what would have been less pricey. But thanks for the thoughts!

would be painting as i would have to bondo out some of the road rash.

I might get a cheapo spray can of gold before doing anything else and see how that looks before, and if not probably silver then.

Yes, I was thinking of something more like this but definitely budgets have to be considered ...

yeah, certain people swear by them, but they have a reputation of letting hubcaps come off at speed or in turns, and they are expensive. I also think that they suit either the lighter coloured cars or black ones but as mine is neither it doesn't really work. but cheers anyway
